Here it is in all it's glory, the blocking wasn't perfect, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I'm glad I made it symmetrical, all I did was to use the feathers pattern inside the shape made by the chevron. I followed the chart for the symmetrical border which was posted by a very clever knitter, whose name I don't know. Thank you.
I've never tried 'taking pictures of yourself in the mirror' before! It isn't easy. This is the best I could manage.

It looks fantastic! I like the feather-side very much.
It looks great--I like your version SO much better than the "wing" version! Very clever indeed!!!
That is so pretty! There are so many versions of this stole, I'm amazed. I think your blocking came out perfect. Great job!

Thank you all for your lovely comments. It's great to get feedback from fellow MS3'ers.
Your stole is beautiful. I really, really like how you incorporated the feathers pattern into the other end of your stole. Very, very clever :o)
That's beautiful and I love the color. It's the first i've seen done symmetrical and it's very pretty.
Sue,
Your stole is beautiful. I really love the way it turned out, you did a fantastic job and it looks great on you.

Looks great! Just beautiful!
HI Sue, I just found your blog. I'm very impressed with your spinning: something I'd like to try one day! And the Mystery Stole is absolutely beautiful. Well done, and I love the colour.
Looking forward to reading lots more about your fibrey adventures.

I love what you did with the "design elements" given. I am thinking of doing something similar - or one of several other ideas - or maybe frogging the whole thing. I just haven't decided yet.
What I was wondering was whether your version involved knitting two halves and grafting or whether you were able to knit straight from one end to the other? Grafting two halves is one of the things I need to decide whether it is worth doing before I finally figure out what I want, so any input would be welcome.

Your stole looks wonderful and I think the photos in the mirror came out well - no flash stars to obscure the lovely knitting!
That's very pretty :)
I almost like your version better than the original one..
